CROSS-BORDER CANADA ↔ UNITED STATES

Cross the Line,
Clean

ACE and ACI eManifests filed before the booth, your broker's paperwork coordinated, dry van or reefer — no 2 a.m. surprises at the crossing. Cross-border freight between BC, Alberta and the US West Coast, handled cleanly since 2003.

  • ACE / ACIeMANIFEST
  • BC/AB ↔ WA/ORCORE
  • 53′DRY VAN & REEFER
  • 2003RUNNING SINCE

Cross-border freight done right is mostly paperwork done early. We file the eManifests and align with your customs broker so the truck clears the booth without drama — Canada to the US, or the US to Canada, in dry van or reefer.

What We Coordinate
at the Border

  • Commercial invoice — prepared and checked so the values, parties and HS detail line up before it reaches the broker.
  • Bill of lading (BOL) — issued and matched to the load so the manifest and the freight agree.
  • ACE eManifest (US-bound) / ACI eManifest (Canada-bound) — filed before the truck reaches the booth, never at the window.
  • USMCA / certificate of origin — included where it applies, so duty treatment is claimed correctly.
  • Direct coordination with YOUR customs broker — we line the eManifest up with your broker's entry so clearance is ready on arrival.
  • Sidhu Motors is non-bonded — we coordinate clearance with your broker; we do not carry freight in-bond or bond the shipment ourselves.

Non-bonded by design — your broker clears it, we make the paperwork land ahead of the truck.

The Border,
Sorted

Every cross-border load runs the same way: the documents go in before the wheels turn. Once the lane, weight and parties are confirmed, we prepare the commercial invoice and BOL, then file the eManifest electronically — ACE to US Customs (CBP) for US-bound freight, ACI to Canada Customs (CBSA) for Canada-bound freight — so the crossing is processed in advance instead of at the booth.

Working with your broker

Clearance is your broker's job, and we keep it clean. We send the manifest detail to your customs broker, confirm the entry is ready, and only roll to the crossing once the paperwork lines up. Sidhu Motors is non-bonded — we coordinate the clearance, we don't bond or move freight in-bond.

Crossings & lanes

Our core cross-border lanes run BC and Alberta to Washington and Oregon, both directions, with the Pacific Highway and Aldergrove crossings the usual gateways. Scheduled and extended runs reach California, Idaho, Montana, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Equipment

The same owned asset fleet that runs our truckloads crosses the border — 53-foot dry van for general palletized freight, or reefer for temperature-controlled loads, held at temperature the whole way.

Owned fleet, experienced drivers, customs paperwork filed ahead. Not a brokerage.

CROSS-BORDER,
ANSWERED

What shippers ask before booking a cross-border load — documents, clearance and how the border actually runs. Anything else, call dispatch.

What documents do I need to ship freight across the US–Canada border?

A commercial invoice, a bill of lading (BOL) and a customs broker on file — plus a USMCA certificate of origin where it applies. We file the ACE or ACI eManifest before the truck reaches the booth and align it with your broker's entry.

Do you handle the customs clearance?

We coordinate it. We file the ACE/ACI eManifest and align with your customs broker so the entry is ready before arrival. Sidhu Motors is non-bonded — we don't clear or bond freight ourselves; your broker handles the clearance and we make sure the paperwork lines up.

What is an ACE / ACI eManifest?

An electronic manifest filed before the truck reaches the booth: ACE to US Customs (CBP) for US-bound loads, ACI to Canada Customs (CBSA) for Canada-bound loads. It lets the crossing be processed in advance instead of at the window.

How much time does the border add?

Usually very little when the paperwork is filed ahead and the broker entry is ready. Wait times vary by crossing and volume, but a clean eManifest and a confirmed broker keep most loads moving straight through.

What lanes do you cross?

Our core cross-border lanes run BC and Alberta to Washington and Oregon, both directions. We also run scheduled and extended lanes into California, Idaho, Montana, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
